Catoosa roof cost calculator
Explore an architectural-shingle replacement budget using Tulsa-area rates and the roof size you know.
Start with a useful example, then change what you know
See what a standard architectural-asphalt replacement could look like in your budget. The calculator uses Tulsa metro planning rates and lets you change the roof size and pitch.
Start with the example if you do not know your roof dimensions. You can see how the total changes without collecting measurements. The inspection and actual project scope are the next step when you are ready to price your roof.

- Footprint
- The horizontal projection beneath the roof.
- Roof surface
- The area following the slopes. Pitch adds surface; indoor living area is a different measurement.
Try a roof replacement planning budget
Keep the starting example or change an area and pitch you already know. The result is a planning total, not a measurement of your property.
Keep the 2,000 sq. ft. example, or enter an area you already know. Roof footprint means the area covered, not total living space.
Keep the 6:12 example unless you already know the pitch. Pitch helps check material suitability.
Planning budget example
Planning example for 2,000 sq. ft. of roof footprint with a pitch of 6:12, using architectural asphalt shingles. Ordinary tear-off is included.
Includes ordinary tear-off. Roof complexity, access and deck repairs affect the final scope.

Tulsa metro regional planning figures, checked September 30, 2026.
Regional pricing and measurement assumptions
May 2026 Tulsa metro range: $4.50–$6.50 per square foot of roof surface for standard architectural asphalt. Includes tear-off, disposal, underlayment, edge and flashing work, ridge ventilation, shingles and labor.
Footprint mode adjusts for one pitch; surface mode uses the area entered. Dormers, valleys, overhangs, attached roofs, waste and hidden repairs need their own allowance. Use the example if you do not know the dimensions.
Why the house size and roof size differ
A roof’s footprint is the ground area it covers. Its sloped surface is larger. A multistory home can have much more living space than roof footprint, while a garage or porch adds roofing that is not counted as indoor living space.
Catoosa roof calculator FAQs
Is this an estimate for my Catoosa home?
No. This is a planning example. A quote covers the measured roof, selected system and work needed underneath.
Can I use it if I do not know my roof size?
Yes. The default example still shows how a budget changes with roof area and pitch. You do not need to climb or measure the roof to use it.
Does the range include damaged decking?
The base includes ordinary tear-off and the listed replacement work. Deck repairs are added according to the damage found during inspection and removal.
Why does a very low pitch show an error?
Asphalt shingles need a slope of at least 2:12. A shallower section needs a low-slope roofing discussion instead of a shingle budget based on unsuitable assumptions.
